Introductions

I might as well start one of these threads.

Introduce yourself! Tell us the name(s) of your characters, maybe where you are from, what you like to do in WoW, etc.

Online I'm known as Skarrina. I'm the girlfriend of Minimeat. We live in the United States (Tennessee). I've been playing WoW for a little under a year now. I began on the old Pandora and I still mostly play on WowManiak. There, I have a frost/fire mage and a healadin/tankadin. These are the only two classes I feel I know how to play well so far (well, besides the protection paladin... everyone always wants me to heal and I rarely can practice tanking).

On the current Pandora, I am leveling a druid to play with Mini and you guys, because I can't decide if I want to mainly heal, tank, or dps and I don't have the time or will to level multiple characters again. I also chose druid because as much as I enjoy holy paladins, I feel borderline useless in heavy AoE damage raid situations where more than 2 or 3 people are taking damage. I also have an abandoned Horde shaman from when you guys moved to Alliance and I wasn't online. I didn't like the shaman that much anyway. No threat control, and coordinating totems is irritating.Deleted that druid a while back cuz I was frustrated with Mahoney and this server. But I'm back with new characters. Still dislike Mahoney. Also found out I dislike playing a druid healer.

I am a PvE'er through and through. Even though I am a pretty competitive person (I was a fencer in college, I love to watch boxing, and I like to play other competitive video games with friends I know in real life), I find online PvP demoralizing and completely lacking in respect for others, both teammates and opponents, nevermind that rpg PvP is frequently a contest of who-has-the-better-gear rather than skill. Don't expect me to do battlegrounds or arenas.

My favorite activity on WoW is the professions. I love crafting things for myself and for other people, and I usually do this free of charge, except I humbly ask for mats or money if certain materials are hard to come by and I'm running low. I've never done leatherworking before, so that is Tetra's profession. Later if I feel this isn't very useful I am considering switching to Enchanting and some type of gathering skill (skinning/mining/herbalism, maybe even tailoring to support the enchanting). Imma alchemist. My second favorite thing is finding something to collect (mounts, outfits, profession-related or feats of strength achievements.) My third favorite thing to do is raiding and instancing.

Speaking of raiding... I saw you guys have a guild rule that we must be able to raid 4 days a week. You can forget about that from me. I am a weekend warrior, and sometimes I don't get to play even then. I may get to play an hour or two during the night on a weekday but that's only if I'm lucky and classes/work/teaching is slow. Also, I am a slow leveler even when I put all my available free time towards it, and many times I would much rather play on my established characters on WowManiak than struggle here for the second time. Therefore, also don't expect me to be able to dungeon crawl with you guys any time soon. I'll probably ding 80 in several weeks.

Anyway I'm looking forward to hear about what you have to say about yourselves. I know very few of you, and much of what I know is what Mini tells me.

Hai ^^ Well...wut can i say >.>

I'm a new wow player... joined up because some of my close friends in rl bugged me about it. But now im here i can honestly say i like it. It is maybe one of the best games i've ever played, not to mention im heavily addicted. -.-

I'm from a little country far away called Guyana. I started off in justice following one of my rl friends (silence) around i came over to enlightened. xD I made quite a few friends, some enemies buh <.< w/e wiff em. >.>

Every day i learn new things, I wud like to consider myself as a petty fair person as such im always opened to advice etc. I play when i have free time, which sadly isn't as often as i wud like to. >< Im doing enchanting and tailoring on kainai(mage). I've always had help from the guildies whenever i need it, so if u need anything hit me up its free once i have mats.

I also have some alts im working on...viyan(druid) i hope could become a decent healer... with LW and skinning maxed out sooner or later. xD... and um Someone(death knight) i hope to tank with sometime with mining and blacksmith. >.>
I also have a hunter stuck at lvl 72 <.< gonna get to it to 80 some day. xD

So ya, need anything... raid member or just some enchant or cloth hit me up.

My main character is Caliban(name of a metalcore band from Germany), I've been playing in this server since April 8th, so just over 3 months. Someone(Not the character named "Someone" just some random person but I forgot the name) from The Enlightened invited me to the guild on April 10th or maybe it was the 11th, not sure. I only played the 10 day free trial for the retail version of WoW, back in December of 2008. I made a warrior in the trial and only got to level 15, then the trial ended and I was sad, lol. So I made my first character on this server a warrior to finish what I started in the trial.
I thought I was the only Canadian on this server for a while then Blowfish told me that him and Krato were also from Canada, the french side of Canada "Bloc Quebecois!"
Here is a list of my characters on the alliance/horde sides, they're all names of bands. I gave up on my horde characters.

I pretty much quit all my other games since I started playing WoW on this server. Blizzard sure knows how to make addicting games.

and i got my druid into healing and DK into tanking!! xD i even managed to get my hunter to 80 <.<

But ive also created a horde paladin...because silence and silentwars upsets me alot -_- and i wud like an opportunity to take out that anger <.<
